Custom kitchen cabinets are built to your room's exact dimensions instead of standard catalog sizes, so they can run to the ceiling, fill odd corners and fit your appliances exactly. Renovision designs them in 3D as part of your kitchen remodel and prices them from that design, so the cabinet cost is fixed before anything is built. Most of our Eastside kitchens with custom cabinetry fall in the $75,000 to $150,000 range for the full remodel.

Custom kitchen cabinets
Stock cabinets come in fixed sizes and finishes and are the cheapest option. Semi-custom cabinets offer more sizes, finishes and inserts within a catalog. Custom cabinets are built to your exact measurements, with any door style, finish, height and interior you want.
We'll recommend the right tier for each part of your kitchen. Many clients use custom cabinetry where it matters most, like the island, a pantry wall or tall cabinets to the ceiling, and semi-custom everywhere else to control cost.

How much do custom kitchen cabinets cost?
It depends on the number of linear feet, the door style, the wood or paint finish and the interior fittings. We price custom cabinetry from your 3D design so the number is fixed before anything is built.
Are custom cabinets worth it over semi-custom?
They're worth it where standard sizes waste space or look off: odd wall lengths, high ceilings, islands and pantry walls. Elsewhere, semi-custom can look the same for less.
Can you make new cabinets match my existing ones?
Often, yes. We can match door profiles and finishes closely, though aged wood and paint rarely match perfectly. We'll show samples before you commit.
Do I need a permit for new kitchen cabinets?
Cabinets alone usually don't need one. If the project also changes electrical or plumbing, which most do, we file those permits for you.
Which cabinet door style lasts longest?
Shaker and slab doors age well in style. For durability, solid wood or plywood boxes with a factory-cured finish hold up best to Pacific Northwest humidity.
Can I add custom cabinets without a full remodel?
Yes. New cabinets in your existing layout is a kitchen refresh, usually $45,000–$75,000 with counters, backsplash and lighting included.
What's included when you build custom cabinets?
Field measuring, 3D design, shop drawings, building and finishing the cabinets, hardware, delivery and installation by our crew, plus the counters and trim work that tie them in.
